Healthcare Heroes 2015

Healthcare Heroes recognizes and rewards the contributions made by healthcare professionals in northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan. The healthcare profession is one where acts of heroism often go unnoticed, because they happen almost every day. Healthcare Heroes do not act for praise, recognition, or job advancement. Rather, they are motivated by a desire to make a difference in the lives they touch.

The goal of Healthcare Heroes is to recognize the extraordinary impact that exceptional healthcare professionals have on the lives they touch. Healthcare Heroes will recognize five individual Heroes serving northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan (including a Lifetime Achievement award to a person with a career of 25+ years in healthcare that has put the region at the forefront of healthcare) that focus on contributions made in the healthcare field.

In 2015, Healthcare Heroes is expanding to include a collaborative initiative that has made great strides in impacting the health of their community.

Healthcare Heroes is sponsored by: the Hospital Council of Northwest Ohio (HCNO); Fostering Healthy Communities (ProMedica, Mercy, & University of Toledo Medical Center); Shumaker Loop & Kendrick, LLP; Hylant Group; Gilmore, Jasion & Mahler Ltd.; and TechSolve. Toledo Business Journal is a media partner for this awards program.
