Open Consultation - European Repository Strategy

Summer 2024

In January 2023, OpenAIRE, LIBER, SPARC Europe, and COAR launched a joint strategy to strengthen the European repository network. The aim is to reinforce and enhance repositories across Europe by highlighting their value, propagating best practices, and assisting with the creation of national networks.

Following the survey, it was decided to prepare a position paper that would outline our collective vision for repositories in Europe. As such, we are seeking input from several communities to gather insights and feedback to contribute to this vision. This open consultation is designed for the library community and your participation is crucial for the advancement of repositories. This survey will provide important information that will feed into an initial draft of the position paper, which will later be refined by focus groups.
