Biomarkers in prostate cancer

A short survey for patients, families and carers

Biomarkers give doctors information about your cancer that can help guide your care.
Dear Participant,

Thank you for taking the time to help with this survey. It is run by Cancer Patients Europe (CPE), a non-profit organisation that speaks up for people with cancer across Europe.

Prostate cancer care is changing quickly. We would like to understand four things about biomarker testing and the care it can guide: what you know about it; what you have been told about or offered; what you actually received; and whether it affected your treatment and your access to care.

This survey focuses mainly on people living with metastatic prostate cancer — that is, prostate cancer that has spread to other parts of the body, such as the bones, lymph nodes or other organs. People whose prostate cancer has not spread are also welcome to take part, though some questions will not apply to them. The survey is also for the families and carers of these patients. If you are a family member or carer, please answer for the person you look after.

Taking part is voluntary. The survey takes about 10 minutes. You can stop at any time, and you can skip any question you would rather not answer. The anonymised results will be used to improve information and care for people with prostate cancer — including in reports, scientific publications, presentations at events, and CPE’s advocacy and other activities.

You do not need to give any personal details to take part. If you do write something personal in one of the comment boxes, it will be kept private, used only for this survey, and protected in line with data protection law (GDPR).
1.YOUR AGREEMENT

I have read this. I understand that taking part is voluntary, that I can stop at any time, and that the anonymised results may be used in reports, publications, events and other CPE activities. I am happy for my answers to be used in this survey.
Thank you — your help is greatly appreciated.
