Sports Injury, Rehabilitation and Prevention for Health (SIRPH), University of Queensland <br>Looking for volunteers without pain
Thank you for your interest in our study! We are seeking volunteers who have no muscle or joint pain to undergo tests to measure different aspects of pain perception and physical function. SELECTION SURVEY INFORMATION SHEET
PROJECT TITLE: Quantitative Sensory Testing in Tendinopathy
INVESTIGATORS: Bill Vicenzino, Brooke Coombes, Allison Grimaldi, Rebecca Mellor, Melanie Plinsinga, Gearoid Cleary, Henrik Riel

WHAT IS THE STUDY ABOUT?
In this study, we aim to understand more about individuals with persistent lateral hip pain. To do this, we are in great need of healthy participants (you!). Your involvement will help us to understand the condition and target treatment in the future!
In this study, we are collecting detailed information about your responses to different types of sensation (heat, cold, pressure) in people with hip pain and in people with heel pain and additionally the effect of physical load on pain in people with lateral hip pain. We will compare this with the information obtained from people who do not have these conditions. This will contribute to our knowledge of some of the physiological processes occurring in tendinopathy, and will help us to develop more effective treatments. You will be required to undergo testing at The University of Queensland, including physical tests, questionnaires and a number of sensation tests for heat, cold and pressure.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN?
This short survey (5 to 10 minutes) requests information about your history of pain and/or injuries as well as some general questions e.g. your age, weight etc.

AIMS OF THIS SURVEY?
The aim of this survey is to confirm that you do not have muscle or joint pain, as well as ensuring that it is appropriate for you to participate in the study.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YOU ANSWER THIS SURVEY?
We will contact you within 48 hours to inform you if you meet/do not meet the selection criteria for the study.
