Have your sayThe Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care (the Commission) is revising the Requirements for Procedures Related to the Collection, Processing, Storage and Issue of Human Haemopoietic Progenitor Cells. The revised Standard will be renamed the Requirements for Haemopoietic Cellular Therapy (seventh edition) (HCT Standard) and will be based on the latest evidence, international guidelines and best-practice.
The HCT Standard sets out the expected requirements for facilities involved in donor selection, collection, processing, storage. issue or disposal of:
- haemopoietic progenitor cells (HPC)
- cord blood
- donor lymphocytes which are used for haemopoietic reconstitution
- donor lymphocytes which are issued for subsequent manufacture of a TGA approved product or under an approved clinical trial.
Your feedback will help shape the revised HCT Standard. The survey asks for views on:
- demographics
- safety and quality concerns
- standard design, structure and language.
