We are in the early stages of creating the I Am Children’s Museum, a hands-on, play-based space where kids don’t just look at things, they jump in and experience them. This will be a place where children can create, build, explore, move, and imagine through interactive exhibits designed for all ages.
Each space is built around a simple idea: “I Am” becomes “I Can,” helping children grow in confidence, creativity, and problem-solving in a way that feels natural and fun.
This project is being developed by 8 Waves, a local nonprofit that works directly with children through tutoring, mentorship, and life skills programs. Because of that, this museum is rooted in real experience with what kids need and how they learn best.
Our goal is to create something meaningful for the entire community—a place families return to, schools can connect with, and children can discover what they’re capable of.
This survey will help guide that process.
