ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skill and Experience)
-Current Certificate of Competence as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
-BScN preferred.
-Current BCLS certification.
-Minimum 3 years emergency & critical care experience.
-Minimum 1 year paediatric experience preferred
-Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale Education.
-IV certification.
-Certification in delegated medical acts and added nursing skills in Emergency/ICU desired
-Cardiac module of Critical Care Course or equivalent required, within past five (5) years.
-Certification in ACLS required.
-Certification in PALS preferred.
-Certification in TNCC (Trauma Nursing Care Course) preferred.
-Health teaching skills that demonstrate a broad knowledge of Adult and Paediatric Care.
-Demonstrated problem solving skills, communication skills and critical thinking skills.
-Satisfactory attendance.
