2020-2021 IAC Candidate Profile

Please review the following position descriptions before submitting your application.

The 2nd Vice President shall:

Be present at all IAC meetings;
Perform the duties of the 1st Vice President in the absence of the 1st Vice President;
In the event of a vacancy in the office of 1st Vice President, he or she shall automatically become 1st Vice President;
In the event of vacancies in the offices of both President and 1st Vice President, he or she shall automatically become President; and
Verify the presence of a quorum at said meetings.

The NACo (National Association of Counties) Representative shall:

Serve as an ex-officio and voting member of the IAC Board;
Attend all NACo Board of Directors meetings as a member of the board;
Give a verbal report of NACo Board meetings to the IAC Board of Directors and Membership; and
Provide a written report to the County Connection for publication.

The WIR (National Association of Counties) Representative shall:

Serve as an ex-officio and voting member of the IAC Board;
Attend all NACo Board of Directors meetings as a member of the board;
Give a verbal report of NACo Board meetings to the IAC Board of Directors and Membership; and
Provide a written report to the County Connection for publication.

Two-year commitment required to attend WIR functions, IAC Board meetings, and IAC Conferences. This position is open to all county elected officials.
