ImPERUving as ONE is again asking for your input concerning our Peru community. This study is a follow-up to the initial community assessment completed in 2018 in which having a local grocery store was identified as a top need. With the grocery store currently up for sale, we would like to gather information to help solicit a possible new grocery store owner or set up a community sponsored store option.  This survey is important to the future of a local grocery store.

Please take time to complete the entire survey. The second part of the survey are part of a follow-up to the survey we conducted two years ago. Your responses will be used for research to measure how the flood impacted the community and your current perceptions of the community.  The survey is being conducted in partnership with Nebraska Extension.

Everyone is encouraged to complete the survey between September 15 and October 1. We are asking those who live in or near Peru, work, go to school, shop or frequent Peru to participate in the survey. Your input is important and valued.

You can help us by taking 10 minutes to share your opinions. Your answers are completely confidential. Responses will be gathered by Nebraska Extension personnel and will be shared only as summaries in which no individual’s answers can be identified. Survey reports will be available to the public when complete at

If you have any questions, please ask us. You may contact Amy Mincer (402.872.2239) about this specific study. By continuing to take this survey, you indicate that you have read and understand the information provided above and have decided to participate.

We look forward to working with you on ImPERUving as ONE.
