The Oregon Coast Visitors Association (OCVA) is exploring the potential of re-purposing large amounts of marine debris by gathering, sorting, storing and offering it free to artisans and entrepreneurs. Organizations such as Washed Ashore have proven that such a concept is possible and we are seeking to majorly expand a similar model.

In addition to individual artists and entrepreneurs using these materials, OCVA is interested in the possibility of commissioning large pieces of public art for coastal communities which do not currently have public art or which desire more.

Before launching this effort, we are assessing the potential demand for such materials to justify the expenditures it would take to make it happen. If you are interested, please let us know by completing this survey and identifying what kinds of material you would be most likely to use and where you would be most willing to pick them up.

Together we can keep Oregon Coast beaches clean and invest in community livability through public art!
