A grant of up to a total of $60,000 for up to two years is being offered to support emerging outstanding early to mid-career investigators undertaking research within the spinal cord injury (SCI) field at a Victorian-based university, hospital or research institute.

This offering furthers the SRI’s commitment to support emerging and early career researchers to build SCI research capability and capacity, with the ultimate goal of improving the lives of people with SCI.

The application requires you to answer several questions in the online form below and attach the following documentation:
  • Research plan (maximum 4 pages including figures and one additional page for references, so the document must be no more than 5 pages in total)
  • Team details
  • Budget justification
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV) (maximum two pages) plus a list of publications including your ‘top 5’
  • Letter from your supervisor/Head of Department detailing the applicants ability to lead the project and their potential to develop as an independent researcher, and also confirming the availability of resources to ensure the successful completion of the proposed project
