It is being proposed by the Economic Development Response and Recovery Task Force (Hospitality Retail and Tourism Sub Committee), that restaurants that currently have a patio would be able to extend the patio to include the entire sidewalk area, within the width of the storefront to the parking meter. A wooden causeway would be laid down into the parking spots in front of the business to allow passage for pedestrians. (Keep in mind, this might not increase your capacity but allow for more spacing out of your current tables.)
Please refer to the photos attached in the email. This is for context as the "made in Stratford" design is pending.
The Task force is exploring funding and sponsorship opportunities for this project including the Fedev Tourism Recovery Fund.
Regular patio fees would apply. Restaurants would be responsible for modifications to their license via the AGCO website, once the website is open for changes.
