A natural gas vehicle (NGV) is an alternative fuel vehicle that uses compressed natural gas (CNG) as a cleaner alternative to other fossil fuels.

The Elk River Public Utility District is committed to providing natural gas and related services to our customers throughout Coffee and Franklin counties. Interest in the natural gas vehicle market has increased dramatically in recent years and we receive numerous inquiries regarding the availability of NGV fuel in our service area. Your response to this survey will provide valuable information as we determine our role in providing NGV to our valuable customers.

Natural gas vehicle fuel can enable the US to become more energy independent, Natural gas is a readily available answer to rising gasoline and diesel costs, while providing for a cleaner environment.

The District currently has a Ford F-150 dual fuel pick up truck and a Honda Civic dedicated CNG vehicle. The District's vehicles are currently fueled by a small "time fill" CNG fueling station located behind our Tullahoma office.
