Over the past decade our UU Church West Social Action Council has been powerfully engaged in more than a dozen social justice issues and projects. Please take a few minutes to fill out this preliminary Social Action survey BEFORE 11/14 to help guide our continuing work!

Food Pantry or Guest House (homeless shelter)

MICAH or SOPHIA (opportunities for multi-racial work for structural change at local and state levels)

Earth Ministry/Environmental Justice activities

Split the Plate Team (research and promote organizations for congregational financial support)

Represent UUCW with Black Lives Matter to Wisconsin UUs (BLM2WUU) coalition of local UU congregations working on anti-racism.

Help identify and organize multi-generational social service projects for participation by congregation members of all ages/families serving together

International service work with Bridges to Community in Nicaragua or the Dominican Republic

Prison Reform

Serve on Social Action Council - shape and organize UUCW social action mission and projects

Contribute Skills to Social Action (e.g., writing, graphic arts, social media, facilitation, presentation, community or organizational connections)

Attend educational programs on social action issues

Participate in protests or public witness activities
