HSITAG is a non-profit trade association that serves as a collaborative source of knowledge, educational outreach and guidance to improve the delivery of human services programs within government. Within this mission, HSITAG has formed a work group to explore the HHS industry’s adaptation to artificial intelligence and leverage its potential for industry growth.
This survey aims to gather perspectives on the growing use of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) in health and human services. Your responses will help us understand the opportunities, challenges, and ethical considerations surrounding AI adoption in this sector.
In the context of this survey, “AI” refers to technologies like large language models (i.e., ChatGPT-type technologies), neural networks, natural language processing, agentic AI (AI that can do tasks on a user’s behalf), and advanced automation.
“ML” refers to technologies like predictive models that have quantitative or qualitative outputs, such as a prediction score or a cluster identifier. These models are often used for anomaly detection, recommendation systems, or market segmentation.
