OCEAN Project- Training Videos Download Permission Form

Introduction

By completing and submitting the following agreement I hereby request permission, on behalf of my Institution as mentioned below, to use the OCEAN Project training resources in my current Institution's education and training curriculum.
This form serves as a formal permission agreement between The Nautical Institute (NI), on behalf of the OCEAN Project, and the Licensee [your Institute/ Company/ Organisation].

1. Grant of Permission

The Licensor (NI) hereby grants the Licensee the non-exclusive, revocable right to use the training videos provided in the link as part of the Licensee’s educational curriculum, syllabuses, and training programmes designed to support enhancing situational awareness for better decision making in maritime. This permission is granted at no cost and is subject to the terms and conditions set forth in this agreement.


2. Purpose of Use

The Licensee is permitted to utilise the videos exclusively as a training resource within educational programme. Organisations and Institutions can employ the videos to improve knowledge and enhance the awareness of the subject matter. Additionally, the Licensee may use the videos in lectures, presentations, and educational sessions.


3. Restrictions

The Licensee shall not:
  • Modify, alter, or create derivative works based on the video without the prior written consent of the Licensor (NI) on behalf of the OCEAN Project.
  • Distribute, sell, lease, or license the video or any derivative works to third parties for commercial purposes.
  • Use the video in any manner that is derogatory to the Licensor or in a way that negatively affects the Licensor’s reputation.

4. Attribution

The Licensee agrees to provide appropriate credit to the Licensor (OCEAN Project) for the creation of the video in any use case as stipulated herein.


5. Term and Termination

This permission is effective from 03 April 2024. The Licensor reserves the right to terminate this agreement at any time with written notice to the Licensee.


7. Acknowledgement

By using the video in accordance with this agreement, the Licensee acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms herein.
