SNRS invites members to be active and join its working committees. Please indicate below the committee(s) that interest you. Please note: You must be a current SNRS member to join a committee. Committee appointments (one-year terms) are typically made in March after the Annual Conference.
Volunteers play a key role in SNRS. Please review the following Committees with their charges and consider volunteering!
Annual Conference Program Committee. Responsible for the overall direction of the SNRS Annual Conference.
Awards Committee. Reviews award nominations and recommends recipients for Society member recognition awards; reviews current member recognition awards program and advises the Board regarding the establishment of new Society awards and other enhancements; monitor the review of student posters for awards.
Bylaws/Policy & Procedures. Responsible for reviewing the Bylaws and the Policies & Procedures Manual of the Society and make recommendations for revisions according to established procedures.
Communications. Oversight for all Society communications through the official journal, newsletter, website, e-blasts and social media.
Development. Purpose is to generate non-dues revenue to support the expansion of SNRS' grant programs and other strategic initiatives.
Finance. Assists the Treasurer with the development of the annual budget of the Society and conduct an internal review of the finances at least annually.
Grants. Provides oversight of the Society's grants program, reviews applications and recommends recipients for Society grants.
Membership (State Liaisons). Assists in recruitment and orientation of new members; communication activities between the Board and members through data gathering and sharing with the membership on issues and items of concern; and collecting news items for inclusion in the Newsletter.
