TEAMC's San Mateo County Transportation Ballot Measure Survey
What kind of place will San Mateo County be to live, work, and play in 5, 10, or 20 years? SamTrans is working to put a 30-year sales tax measure on the November 2018 ballot to raise $80 million annually to improve transportation. But who will benefit from the tax, and what kind of investments will it prioritize?
The Transportation Equity Allied Movement Coalition (TEAMC) is a coalition of ~20 organizations working to ensure that the proposed tax benefits those with greatest need, including low-income families, people of color, youth, seniors, immigrants, transit users, bicyclists, and pedestrians. We are building power for those historically underrepresented in transportation decision-making in order to advance transportation solutions that promote social equity, public health and safety, and environmental protection.
Can you take a few minutes to fill out our survey below? SamTrans has released a two-question survey to collect community feedback to inform how they spend the tax revenues, but TEAMC has put together a survey with a few additional questions to make sure we capture more of our community’s needs. Please complete the survey by February 20th so we can share the results with SamTrans and decision makers. After you fill out the survey, stay in touch by joining our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/smcteamc/.
