CALL FOR ABSTRACTS/SPEAKERS

Lectures, panel discussions, and roundtables in the categories listed below will be selected. To initiate your participation as a speaker, experts from the recycling and solid waste profession, industry, academia, government and consultants are invited to submit papers describing program work, research, applications, proposed discussions, tools and case studies. We also aim to host a recycling "speed dating" session in which presenters are offered a small amount of time to discuss big picture ideas. Approximately 20-30 minutes will be provided for each presentation, including questions and responses. A few longer sessions may be available. Presenters will receive free conference admission for one day.

· Local Solutions for Global Markets – Grassroots markets, finding/creating/growing markets on shore, market trends and predictions, etc.
· Solid Waste Management – Best practices for landfills, illegal dumping mitigation, regulatory issues, tire management, safety, etc.
· Recycling Best Practices – Program innovations, life cycle analysis, product stewardship and EPR, reuse centers, Pay As You Throw, organics management, etc.
· Economics of Solid Waste and Recycling – How full cost accounting ties into National Sword, industry jobs, funding opportunities, commercial/business program development, etc.
