Buile Hill Park consultation 2025
In 2018 Salford City Council consulted with Salford residents about the regeneration of Buile Hill Mansion. The results highlighted that the most popular options were a café whilst others wanted the Mansion to be reinstated as a ceremony/function room.
Salford City Council are currently renovating the Mansion back into public use based on these consultation results. Located at the heart of Buile Hill Park, the Mansion will be the new home of Salford Register Office, registering births, marriages and deaths. It will also boast an impressive ceremony room for weddings and a separate function room for receptions and parties. New community rooms will be available for meetings and activities, while the ground floor café, open to park users, will serve a selection of sandwiches, soups, hot and cold drinks and cakes.
The work is scheduled to finish later this year, with weddings and functions starting from early 2026.
With these exciting developments happening to the Mansion, Salford City Council are now submitting a National Lottery Heritage Fund bid to seek funding to improve the surrounding park. If successful, this funding will help us restore this historical greenspace creating a flagship park for Salford.
Please answer the following questions to help us develop our bid and get a better understanding of what park visitors would like to see.
