Band 6- *$50 Band Fee* Full Year Elective Students will receive instruction on the skills required to play an instrument. Prior experience is not necessary. It is possible to be in Band along with other activities such as sports and cheer.

Choir 6- *$20 Choir Fee* Full Year Elective Students will learn vocal and musical techniques with an emphasis on vocal performance. Students will perform at our Veteran’s Day program and have Christmas and Spring concerts. Students will also attend district and state festivals.

Art 6- Full Year Elective Students will learn basic skills in drawing, painting, etc.

Horticulture/Keyboarding 6- 1/2 year of Horticulture, 1/2 of Keyboarding- Horticulture: Students will learn the parts and functions of a plant, as well as past, present, and future environmental processes. The environment of this class is hands-on. Students will work individually and in groups. Keyboarding: Students will learn basic typing skills.

Math Enrichment- Full Year Elective. Students will strengthen their math skills so that they may be successful in their current and future math classes.

Spanish 6/Keyboarding 6- 1/2 year Spanish 6 and 1/2 year Keyboarding 6- Spanish 6: Students will discover a new language as well as another culture. *For students who want to take Spanish I and earn a high school credit in 8th grade, they must take Spanish 6, Spanish 7, and pass the End of Course Test in 8th grade. Keyboarding: Students will learn basic typing skills.
