Greater Together, Greater Lafayette Commerce COVID 19 Relief Grant program

Greater Lafayette Commerce is launching a grant program for small businesses that will assist them with building recovery plans as the local economy opens back up and short-term operating cost funding.
The grant program, funded by Duke Energy, will be used to provide funds for use by the small businesses in the three qualified areas of:
• Relief funding / Short-term operating costs (i.e. payroll support such as employee salaries, paid sick or medical leave, insurance premiums, mortgage payments, and any other debt obligations)
• Legal or technical assistance for small businesses in navigating the new federal and state programs
• Technology needs to ensure small businesses can communicate with their customers and the community.
The goal of the program is to provide up to 10 small businesses with $500 grants to assist them in recovering from the economic crisis associated with the Covid-19 Pandemic.
The metric we will use is pre- and post-economic data. We will ask for pre-COVID 19 employment numbers and monthly revenue data (March, April, May. In May of 2021, we will ask the grant recipients for the same information to compare the two results.
The Main Street Committee will choose ten (10) businesses to receive the grants, based on your responses.
Applications must be submitted by June 19, 2020, to be eligible.
