The NATSIFAC Program Support Hub invites you to attend the Board Governance online workshop on Tuesday 3 Feb at 12pm (AEDT)
This online workshop is particularly relevant to Board Directors, CEOs and senior managers of NATSIFACP funded organisations, including ACCOs, to assist in understanding how the new Aged Care Act (2024) and Aged Care Rules (2025) apply to them and what the key organisational and Board obligations are.
For the first time, NATSIFACP funded organisations are now subject to legislative and regulatory provisions included in the new Aged Care Act (2024), Aged Care Rules (2025) and the new strengthened Quality Standards.
These are substantial changes for all NATSIFACP providers across Australia.
This workshop will look at the new requirements from an organisational governance perspective. The workshop will provide guidance on the organisations reporting obligations, the key responsibilities of the Board and Board Directors, what things do and don’t apply to your organisation, the things you need to be confident about, and how you can best navigate the transition to the new requirements.
Board Directors in particular are encouraged to participate – the workshop will talk about the things Board Directors need to know about the changes, what their responsibilities and accountabilities are as a Board Director and governing body, and the processes they can put in place to ensure ongoing compliance with the new requirements.
