Goodwill NNE manages different AmeriCorps programs that strengthen communities in northern New England by placing service members in local nonprofits, municipalities and schools. (These are federally funded programs, but there is a small cash match required by the host site organization, to ensure local support and contribute to members' benefits packages.)

The Goodwill VISTA Partnership, working with nonprofits to alleviate poverty in communities across Maine. Members build capacity at nonprofits and other agencies to reduce poverty by creating new programs, managing advisory boards, helping with fundraising and grant writing, increasing social media presence, recruiting volunteers, and more.

Goodwill Youth Development AmeriCorps Programs, supporting youth impacted by ACEs in Maine and New Hampshire. Members are placed in schools and nonprofits serving youth (grades 4-12) who have been impacted by Adverse Childhood Experiences. Through mentoring, experiential learning, social and emotional development, and college and career readiness programming, members increase social emotional skills and academic engagement among students.

Public Health AmeriCorps, serving communities to improve public health throughout Maine and New Hampshire. Members are placed with public health agencies and nonprofits to improve access to healthcare for the most underserved populations. Members will be responsible for implementing evidence-based public health interventions to increase the capacity of their host site.

COVID Care Corps, building capacity in response to COVID-19 in Maine and New Hampshire. VISTA members are placed with organizations as an emergency response to the coronavirus pandemic. COVID Care Corps VISTA members serve in indirect service roles at local municipalities, community nonprofits, and health coalitions, where they help to develop programs, mobilize volunteers, and strengthen infrastructure both locally and statewide.
