Good Omens Fandom Study
INTRODUCTION: Thank you for your interest in participating in this survey about Good Omens and its fandom. My name is Rebecca Hains; I am a professor at Salem State University. My colleague Kyra Hunting (University of Kentucky) and I are conducting research on the experiences of Good Omens fans. In this project, we are studying how fans engaged with the series and its community, what they hoped for from Season 3, and how they felt about the series' conclusion. When this research is complete, we will share the results with the Good Omens fan community.
PARTICIPATION: Taking part in this survey is completely voluntary. The survey questionnaire will take approximately 20 to 30 minutes to complete, and there are no right or wrong answers. You can skip any questions you wish, and you may stop at any time.
RISKS: Some questions touch on potentially sensitive topics, including queer representation in media and public controversy surrounding a named creator; you are welcome to skip any question you prefer not to answer. The risks associated with this study are minimal.
ANONYMITY: All responses are completely anonymous; no identifying information will be collected at any point, and your name will not be used in any reports written by the researcher. If an information is provided to the researchers that must be reported under Massachusetts and Federal law, such as cases of child or elder abuse, these will be reported per the law. All responses will be stored on SurveyMonkey and downloaded onto a password-protected computer for analysis. To ensure anonymity, this questionnaire uses an Anonymous Responses collector that does not track or store IP addresses in the survey results.
