The Alpine Shire Council, Gateway Health and Alpine Health values your input.
As residents of the community of Mt Beauty, you have been selected to participate in our ‘Go Local, Go Fresh’ Survey.
The survey aims to gather information, feedback and ideas in relation to how you currently buy your fruit and vegetables and identify possibilities of how to improve access to, and affordability of, fruit and vegetables in your community.
In 2013 a local food security scan in the Alpine Shire found that affordability, transport, isolation, skills and knowledge impacted families’ food choices. As an outcome of this work, Central Hume Primary Care Partnership funded a project that aims to address the issue.
The ‘Go Local, Go Fresh’ project aims to increase the availability and affordability of fruit and vegetables in at least one outlying town from community driven ideas and support. Input from the community is vital to ensure the initiatives developed can be successful ongoing.
All survey respondents will go into a draw to win a $100.00 food voucher at your choice of either Foodworks (Mt Beauty) or The Kiwi Market (Tawonga).
