The Reimbursable Grant helps Glendale Businesses with their Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) expenses with a one-time reimbursement up to $500. 


IMPORTANT NOTE:
Apply Only Once for Up To $500 in Reimbursements.
Applicants that request reimbursements for less than $500 may not apply again for the balance.  For example: If you apply for $200 in reimbursements, you MAY NOT submit a second application for an additional $300 in reimbursements at a later time.


GRANT DETAILS
  • Open both to brick and mortar and home based businesses located in the City of Glendale.
  • Business must have been in operation for a minimum of 6 months on July 1, 2020.
  • One-time reimbursable grant of up to $500 per business for reasonable PPE purchases
  • Only one application per business. Repeat submissions will be automatically denied.
  • Copies of itemized receipts for qualifying PPE purchases required (receipts dated March 16, 2020 or later)
  • Must take the Safety First Pledge (located in this application)
  • Businesses that have received other grants may apply
  • All business types are eligible to apply (excluding loan packagers and businesses affiliated with gambling, among other narrowly defined prohibited businesses)
  • Non-profit organizations are eligible.

Eligible Purchases 
  • face shields/face coverings,
  • cleaning and sanitizing supplies,
  • hand soap/sanitizers,
  • signage providing public health guidelines, 
  • counter top shields/partitions,
  • gowns, goggles
  • gloves
Examples of Non-Eligible Purchases Include (but not limited to):
  • uniforms, clothing, hats

Safety First Pledge

By taking the Safety First Pledge, you take the first steps in ensuring the health and safety of your customers and your employees.

Businesses that take the pledge will receive a free "Glendale Safety First Toolkit" which will include "Safety First" signage, a window decal certifying your business a "Safety First Business," and free hand sanitizer and face masks (while supplies last), and will be promoted on the City's @ChooseGlendale social media platforms.
