Greater Whitsunday Alliance (GW3) is an independent economic development body for Mackay, Isaac, Whitsunday.
Greater Whitsunday Alliance (GW3) and Glencore have partnered to provide the Glencore Agribusiness Health & Safety Initiative in Isaac (Initiative).
The Initiative is to ensure that agribusinesses within the Isaac Region can build their capability and capacity to manage a safe, sustainable and successful business.
With support from the Local Buying Foundation, GW3 is delivering the Isaac Business Support Program (IBSP) which is designed to assist businesses in the western rural and resource communities of Isaac to be successful and sustainable. The Isaac region is made up of many smaller regional business centres with little to no formal coordination of professional development activities.
The Glencore Agribusiness Health & Safety Initiative will deliver additional value for the Isaac Business Support Program. The Initiative is specifically designed to assist agribusiness owners to: 1. Increase their knowledge of workplace health & safety;
2. Implement a customised workplace health & safety management system; and 3. Access subsidised courses to implement Safe Station(c).
