When we revealed the concept art for Gla'aki during the campaign, despite going through several revisions and being approved by Ramsey Cambell himself, the design didn't quite meet the expectations of several of the backers. Though the exceptional sculptors at Fenris did a terrific job faithfully translating the concept into a resin prototype, we understand that in a project with eighteen new figures it would be impossible to please all 4420 backers with every design. Enough backers were vocal in their concerns that we thought it was worth potentially calling for a revision to the sculpt before it goes to China for tooling and mass production. With that in mind, we commissioned Paul "nightserpent" Carrick, the artist who created the concept art, to develop a few more variations on this creature. In addition to the original concept, Ramsey Cambell approved two additional variations. We would like to share all of these concepts with our backers so that you can make your preference known!
Of the following three designs, please choose the concept that you think best captures your expectation of the wise and terrible Inhabitant of the Lake. Then select your 2nd and 3rd choices. In order to not delay our steel tooling in China, we will tally the votes on Sunday, March 27th. We will post the winning final Gla'aki concept in the next update.
