2023 Triangle TRYOUT Application

Welcome to Triangle Volleyball Club's tryout application form for the 2022/2023 club season. This form is for all ages, girls and boys teams.

This application and waiver* must be completed by a PARENT or LEGAL GUARDIAN ONLY and is required for ALL athletes who wish to participate in tryouts..

WARNING: The information that you enter will be used to populate critical club operating systems like our tryout management system and player/roster databases. We advise you to avoid using a smart phone to complete this form and be careful and take your time when completing this form. ACCURACY and COMPLETENESS of information requested is essential for creating rosters for tournament registration and a myriad of other essential season start-up items.
If you are new to club volleyball it is important to note that junior club volleyball involves a larger time and financial commitment than typical recreational sports.
Questions marked with an * require that ALL fields be completed, and you will not be able to proceed until they are complete.

TRYOUT FEES [based on the athlete's USAV age which may be different than your athlete's current age]:

GIRLS: 11s-18s $60pp (Early Bird*). Late: $90
BOYS: all ages, $30pp (Early Bird*). Late: $50

EARLY BIRD TRYOUT FEE DEADLINES:

Girls' USAV 15s-18s: Wednesday, August 3 @ 10pm
Boys' (all ages): Thursday, September 29 @10pm
Girls' USAV 11-14s: Thursday, October 6 @ 10pm

TRYOUT PAYMENT: Online payment with credit card is the preferred method. If you need an alternative payment method, you will be prompted at the end of this online registration process.

* 1. CERTIFICATION OF INTEREST & COMMITMENT: NATIONAL team tryouts are exclusively for athletes committed to participating in a club season that

extends through June/early July, AND

involves considerable overnight, out-of-state, scheduled travel in order to participate in high-level competition at large tournament events.

The cost of a National team season ranges from $3,000-6,000 exclusive of family (athlete + parent(s)) travel-related costs. If your budget cannot support this cost, you may want to consider Regional/Regional+ team tryouts.

*Limited needs-based financial assistance is available for athletes on 15 & older teams only and is limited to no more than 50% of costs. Applications for Financial Assistance MUST be made well in advance of tryouts. At the end of this form you can indicate you want financial aid consideration.

Families that cannot make this commitment should not plan to attend the NATIONAL team tryouts and instead sign up for REGIONAL/REGIONAL+ tryouts. Regional/Regional+ teams are for ages 11-15s (possibility of 16s exists but is limited) and involve

a shorter season (ending in April), AND

a season that involves little to no overnight, out-of-state travel.

A much reduced cost.

By completing this section and proceeding with the tryout application you are indicating your commitment to participate in a travel-based season should you be given an offer for a Triangle team.
