Introduction The City of Gillette is updating its zoning and development regulations into a Unified Development Code (UDC). The goal is to make the City’s development rules easier to understand, more consistent, and better coordinated.

This is a one-stop place for all development related regulations.

We want to hear from Gillette residents, business owners, property owners, and others who live, work, or develop in the community. You do not need to be familiar with development regulations to participate. We are interested in your experiences and priorities.

Implement design standards that promote walkability, connectivity, and community-friendly development in infill zones. (Reference LUGM 3.C)

Introduce design standards for wider sidewalks in mixed-use and activity centers. (reference MC 1B)

Revise design standards to reduce transportations costs such as pavement and lane widths, lowering maintenance and construction costs while slowing traffic to improve safety (reference MC 2D)
