Awards Committee: Coordinates the annual Awards for Excellence Dinner. Planning for the 2015 Dinner will kick-off in late fall. The committee will then begin the process of identifying location, theme, and nominations for Developments of Excellence as well as individual lifetime achievement awards.There are opportunities to chair subcommittees within the broader committee. Sponsorship Committee: Focuses on identifying, developing and promoting sponsors of ULI Atlanta. Opportunity to work with Advisory Board on sponsorship strategy and implementation. Maintains on-going relationships with the sponsors to ensure ROI satisfaction and continuation of their sponsorship in years to come. Committee roles can be focused on overall sponsorship as well as sponsorship of specific initiatives. This committee is busiest in the fall during the sponsorship campaign. Communications Committee: Strives to effectively communicate the activities, programs and impact of ULI to existing and future members and the community at large. Provides writing, communication and creative talents to the organization. Ensures all communication efforts are done in a professional fashion that clearly exemplify the ULI brand. Membership Committee: Grows a healthy and diverse membership base by increasing the number and retention rate of Associate and Full Members. Hosts networking, informational and educational events while encouraging attendance at ULI Programs. Programs Committee: Focused on delivering on ULI’s mission by educating and convening groups around important issues and trends impacting our communities and industry. The committee works to develop the program content for the year, providing opportunities for ULI Members through a variety of events, such as: Luncheon Speaker Series, signature events, project tours, networking events, and more. This committee meets monthly. Technical Assistance Panels (TAPs) Committee: Provides objective and responsible advice to municipal and community-based non-profit organizations, organizations with limited staffing or financial resources, or those operating in an economically disadvantaged area. Assists these entities by offering objective advice on real estate, economic, planning, urban design and land use challenges. Assembles a panel of ULI members to focus on the Client’s problem or issue. UrbanPlan Volunteer: Experimental learning experience for high school and university students, enabling them to understand the analysis and decisions and trade-offs that drive urban development. ULI members are trained to facilitate through the Socratic method as well as serve as mock City Council. Prepares today’s youth to be more engaged and sensitive to community and land use issues. Young Leaders Group: Creates a unique setting for the leaders of tomorrow’s real estate industry to interact, both professionally and socially, with the leaders of today. Establishes events that include panel discussions, “Learn from the Best” small group discussions, tours, community service opportunities, and social gatherings for ULI members under the age of 35. Encourages young leaders to expand their networks, learn about developments throughout Atlanta, and hear how industry leaders have found success. Next
