Attention UCSB Staff!

YOU are invited to participate in UCSB’s First-Ever Gaucho-U Used Bicycle Sale.

Each year the UCSB Police (Community Service Organization - CSO) collects over a thousand unwanted bicycles from the UCSB campus. Campus leadership has generously decided to make a limited number of those bikes available for sale to UCSB STAFF (Staff ONLY for our first sale. Faculty and Students will likely be included, at a later date, when this pilot proves successful).


As a pilot program, UCSB Staff (STAFF ONLY at this time) may buy a basic bicycle AS-IS including bicycle registration for $40 Total...Payable by Cash or Check to "UC Regents" at the Gaucho-U Used Bicycle Sale.

Step 1: Enter the Drawing - Please completely fill in the blanks below and submit by noon August 8th, 2014.

Step 2: You will be contacted the week of August 11th, to let you know if you have been selected to purchase a bicycle in the Gaucho-U Bicycle Sale on August 13th, 2014. If you are selected you will be assigned a drawing number.

Step 3: Show up on August 13th, 2014 with identification. You must be present to select your bicycle. Participants will be called by number to select their bike, pay $40 fee, sign registration and waiver form. (The $40 only gets paid AFTER you select a bicycle you find attractive)

Step 4: Complete your Bicycle Registration

Step 5: Enjoy your bicycle.
Remember when you lock you bicycle do so with a U-Lock between the bicycle frame and a bicycle rack. U-Locks available at the UCSB Bookstore and the UCSB Associated Students Bicycle Shop.
