Women's Camp 2023 Application Form

Speaking in Colour with sponsorship from Regional NSW is providing Cultural Camps
for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women from across the Hunter ad Upper Hunter regions.
 
There are limited places available, therefore women are asked to complete
an expression of interest to be considered.
 
 
Where: Glenrock Lagoon Scout Hall, in the Glenrock Lagoon Conservation Area NSW National Parks
When: Registration open from 4pm Friday 21st April ending 2pm Sunday 23rd April 2023
To be eligible: Women who identify as Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander are welcome to apply.

Please note preference is provided to women under 24 years and
cultural knowledge holders who will share as part of our program.


Why should you attend this amazing Cultural experience?
 
- Connect and learn from local cultural teachers and Elders.
- Have cultural opportunities to learn about and participate in: Aboriginal weaving, Aboriginal dance, learning how to use native pigments to die fibers, learn about land management and making Possum Skin Cloaks.
- Participate in employment readiness activities, such as resume building.
- Participate in panel discussions about becoming job ready and securing a job.
- Meet other likeminded budding Aboriginal woman and mentors.
- Hear from key community members and be inspired by their personal stories and journeys.
- Receive free Speaking in Colour Merchandise
