Participation in the Cyprus Citizens’ Assembly on Housing |
Have your say on housing in Cyprus!
We are inviting people from across Cyprus to participate in a Citizens’ Assembly: a group of people coming together to talk, listen, and discuss possible ways forward about an issue that affects our everyday life: housing.
The Citizens’ Assembly is part of a wider European research project called EU-CIEMBLY, which explores how citizens from different backgrounds can take part in inclusive and meaningful public decision-making.
By taking part, you will help shape ideas that matter to Cyprus and contribute to a wider European conversation about how citizens’ voices can play a stronger role in public decisions.
What will you do as part of the Assembly?
You will join a group of citizens to learn about housing, hear from different perspectives, share experiences, and come up with recommendations that will then be forwarded to those who hold the power to improve things.
Participants will be supported by trained facilitators to ensure that everyone has the chance to speak and be heard, and that discussions are respectful and constructive.
No prior knowledge or expertise is needed – just a willingness to listen, reflect, and take part.
To thank you for your time and contribution, each participant will receive a Wolt voucher worth over 100 euros, and a certificate of participation.
What will the Cyprus Assembly focus on?
The Cyprus Citizens’ Assembly will focus on housing – including the challenges people face in Cyprus and ideas for improving the housing situation. The aim is to develop practical recommendations that reflect peoples’ real experiences.
How will it work?
The Assembly will take place over three sessions:
