The Primary School (Year 3-6) swim carnival is held Term 4, however, the College swimming team will be selected early in Term 1 in preparation for the District and Regional Carnivals. The team is made up of students who are turning 9, 10 and 11 years old from Years 3-6.

Details of the Swim Trials are as follows:
When: Thursday 25th January at Noosa Pool, 12.30pm - 2.30pm

Who: All students who are turning 9, 10 or 11 in 2018 are able to attend the trials. Students turning 12 this year will attend the Secondary Swimming carnival on Tuesday 30th January in 2018.

Transport: Students trialling will travel to the pool on a provided bus

What to bring: Students will require College Sports uniform to travel to and from the pool and wear College swimming togs, swim cap and bring a drink, towel and sports hat to attend the pool

The team will be selected from this trial to compete at the Sunshine Coast Primary Independent Swim Carnival on Monday 12th February at Sunshine Coast Grammar. There will be 3 swimmers selected for Backstroke and Breaststroke, 4 swimmers for Freestyle and 2 swimmers for Butterfly in each age group. All events are 50m. There will also be the opportunity to nominate for 100m and 200IM events ( these events are not swum at the District Carnival).

I would very much welcome any help that parents could give me at the Swim Trials to place judge or time keep.

All selected team members will be expected to train for the first 3 weeks of the term in preparation for the carnival.
