The purpose of to develop an approach towards zero-carbon design proposals, going beyond the Project Brief and elevating the sustainable aspirations. This should be started at Stage 0 and finalised by Stage 2.

This only exists on projects that are aspiring to achieve third-party certification, such as BREEAM or Passivhaus, etc.

To be implemented only on medium to large projects with a 'Sustainability Champion' to research building type standards and how the Project Brief can aspire to be leading in terms of quantifiable sustainability outcomes.

The purpose is to develop high level measurable, ambitious and unambiguous project outcomes that are relevant to the Client Requirements and integrated into the Business Case and Project Brief. This should be completed at Stage 0.
