Catalyst Mobility, a global clean transportation nonprofit organization, is conducting research to understand how people in the Chicagoland area use carshare services and what improvements might make electric vehicles more useful in these programs. This research effort is sponsored by ComEd.
Carshare are services that provide members or registered users with short-term access to shared vehicles, often by the hour or day. Vehicles may be reserved through an app or website and may be located throughout a community, at designated parking spaces, or through individual vehicle owners. Carshare also differs from traditional rental car services, where rental vehicles are generally picked up from a staffed rental office and are commonly rented for one or more full days. Zipcar is a popular example of a carshare service.
This survey is only for individuals who have previously used a carshare service. The first 30 individuals to complete the survey will receive a $20 digital gift card by email, delivered after all responses are received, and estimated to arrive by late November 2026. Participants must complete the entire survey to be compensated.
The survey should take approximately 10 minutes. Your responses will be kept confidential and anonymous.
Thank you in advance for participating in this survey.
