Overview:
The Smith College Museum of Art invites current Smith College students to create a program for one of our Thursday Late Nights. Proposals will be selected through an application process and produced in collaboration with the museum’s Post-Baccalaureate Fellows.

Individuals, student orgs, or houses may apply for up to $1,500 in funding to implement their program proposal. Museum Grant recipients will also receive support from museum staff with:

• planning and coordination
• marketing and communications
• event set-up and facilitation

Programs supported by Museum Grants are sparked by student interest and should connect Smith College students with their campus art museum. These could include student-led gallery dialogues, panel discussions, guest-artist workshops, film screenings, performances, teas, plus more.

In order to be considered for support from the museum, proposals must identify how the program meets the goal of connecting SCMA collections and/or exhibitions with existing student-driven initiatives on campus.

Deadline:
Spring applications must be submitted by February 4, 2019 for event to be offered on March 28, 2019.
