THORACIC SURGERY AT THE TIME OF COVID-19:

INTRODUCTION
Dear Member of the European Society of Thoracic Surgeons,
On 31 December 2019, the World Health Organization (WHO) was informed of a cluster of patients presenting with pneumonia in China. This disease became pandemic on 11 March 2020.
During these challenging times, we all face the COVID-19 crisis, and significantly our patients are impacted by how our health care systems, hospitals, and departments are trying to manage this crisis.
Currently, we are facing mostly the second or even the third wave of the pandemic. For some countries, this means an even higher prevalence than during the first wave.
Therefore Our Society wants to learn again from its members how they get along with resilience, what is different from the first wave, and what they should tackle during a possible new coming waves of this dreadful infection.
Please take a moment to complete this questionnaire. We truly care on how you all are currently dealing with the COVID-19 situation along with patients awaiting in your list for surgery.
One answer per institution would suffice, but you will only be able to complete the questionnaire during this two weeks since this is a survey about the current situation.
