Developing Effective and Accessible Health Education Resources for Migratory and Seasonal Agricultural Workers MSAWs- Small Group Training- Registration

Enhance your health center’s capacity to develop effective health education resources tailored to agricultural workers. Join a small group training led by the National Center for Farmworker Health (NCFH) to gain practical tools, share ideas, and strengthen the quality of care for agricultural worker communities through accessible health education. Each virtual session will engage participants in interactive activities and peer exchange to make health education more meaningful and impactful in the communities you serve.

Schedule*: Monthly (via Zoom) from 11:00am -12:30pm PT | 1:00pm-2:30pm CT | 2:00pm-3:30pm ET

#1 - March 18, 2026 - Orientation - Overview of SGT and we will showcase the need for services and health education resources tailored for all MSAWs and how these can help improve their health and quality of life

#2 - April 15, 2026 - This session will focus on strategies and tools for identifying key health topics and the appropriate formats for resources needed by MSAWs. It will also provide an overview of how to assess the community to pinpoint essential resources and identify potential partnerships to support these efforts

#3 - May 20, 2026 - This session will provide strategies and best practices for developing health education content for MSAWs with low literacy, using tone and common language that resonate with MSAW communities. It will also focus on the importance of the format and design of health education materials, including the use of appropriate images and audio

#4 - June 17, 2026 - This session will focus on the importance of feedback and message testing, with committee members and community partnersproviding input during their review process to ensure that the materials are effective, accessible, and well-received. The training session will also share dissemination strategies and examples for effectively promoting and reaching MSAW patients. Additionally, it will showcase a successful health center or organization that has effectively provided responsive health education resources to MSAWs
