Dear Florida Bahama Synod Church Members,

What follows are 36 Vision to Action GOALS that were the results of the 500+ visions submitted by people all over our synod in June-September, 2022 as part of the Synod’s Vision to Action Listening Process.

These goals grew out of the six Big Ideas found in the synod’s mission statement and in vision the of Bishop Suarez for our synod congregations.

Your job now is to vote on the goals you find most important for the future of our synod to inform the decision-making process of the Synod Council.

Under each goal are a paragraph or two.  These paragraphs are examples of what it might look like when the goals were accomplished.  Please note: the examples are not what we are voting on. They are here to help illustrate what the focus of the goals could be.

As you read through the 36 goals you have 12 votes to cast for what you think is most important. The survey will allow you to cast a total of 12 votes.

One last note:  You may not see a specific ministry named in these goals. That’s by design.  If the goal “A1 Cultural Change in the FB Congregations” is selected then ministries, congregations, nonprofits all get an opportunity to submit a grant showing how they can accomplish the goal.

Campus ministry may come up with a new and dynamic way to meet this goal.
Welca may come up with an exciting spin on meeting this goal.
Youth Ministry, Men’s Ministry, XYZ ministry, etc. can all eventually submit a plan for how to meet this goal.   From there, grants will be given, and benchmarks will be taken to help us reach the goal.  More info on this part of the process will come out later but it's always interesting to have a sneak peak of what will happen next.

For now, let’s vote on the important goals.

If you have any questions, you can either call the synod office or email us at info@fbsynod.org.

Many thanks for your commitment to the future of the Florida Bahama’s Synod!
