WAPA Officer Nominations

The Wyoming Association of Physician Assistants requests nominations for its 2017-2018 officers. Nominations may be made by going to WAPA.net and following the link before April 15. WAPA will send out ballots to its members for officer voting by May 15 with the new slate of officers to be named during the WAPA Annual Meeting June 2-4 at the Jackson Lake Lodge in Grand Teton National Park. Nominations may be made for delegate, chief delegate, three members of the board of directors, a secretary/treasurer, vice president and a president-elect.

* 1. Nominate a WAPA member for the office of Vice President. Please give their name as well as where they practice in Wyoming.

* 2. Nominate a WAPA member for the position of President-Elect. Please give their name as well as where they practice in Wyoming. The President Elect shall work closely with the President on all matters that are appropriate to the function of the organization.

* 3. Nominate a WAPA member for the position of Secretary-Treasurer. Please list the nominee's name and where they practice in Wyoming. The Secretary/Treasurer will keep minutes of all meetings of the organization, be responsible for all organization communications and notify all members of all meetings. The Secretary/Treasurer will be responsible for all financial transactions of the Association. Annual financial statements are available to the membership. The Secretary/ Treasurer shall be responsible for filing any appropriate documents with regard to non-profit status, income tax, state chapter chartering with the AAPA, or as the Board of Directors so authorizes. This is done with the help of Wyoming Medical Society staff in Cheyenne.

* 4. Nominate a WAPA member for Chief Delegate. Please list their name and where they practice in Wyoming. The Chief Delegate is responsible to the Board of Directors and membership of the Association. He/she will be present at the annual meeting of the House of Delegates of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and exercise such votes on behalf of the majority of the membership. He/she shall be responsible for filing a written report of the activities of the meeting and keeping membership informed of AAPA House of Delegates activities.

* 5. Nominate a WAPA member for the position of delegate. Please list a name and where they practice in Wyoming. The Delegate is responsible to the Board of Directors and membership of the Association. He/she will be present at the annual meeting of the House of Delegates of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and exercise such votes on behalf of the majority of the membership. He/she shall assist in the preparation of a written report of the activities of the meeting and keeping membership informed of AAPA House of Delegates activities.

* 6. Nominate up to three WAPA members for the position of directors at large. Please list a name and where they practice in Wyoming. Directors at Large are responsible for attending all general meetings of the Association and any Board of Directors meetings as called by the President or Board of Directors. They shall be responsible for the fiduciary management of the organization.

* 7. Nominate a WAPA member for Wyoming PA of The Year. Please list a name and where they practice, as well as why the nominee should be considered for this honor?

* 8. Nominate a Wyoming PA and Physician for the WAPA Physician/PA Team of The Year for 2017. Please list their names as well as where the team practices. Also include your reason for nominating this WAPA member and their supervising physician.
