We Need Your Input!

All school districts in the state of Idaho will be receiving funds allocated through Idaho House Bill 521, which creates a School Modernization Fund. This will be a significant amount of money that must meet specific requirements to be used. The purpose of the funds is to provide tax relief to Idahoans while also allocating money to districts for school facility needs. Idaho House Bill 521 can be viewed at the link below.

Emmett School District is seeking input regarding how this money should be spent on our school facilities. Our 10 -year Facility Maintenance Plan was updated this past year identifying maintenance projects and needs in our school facilities. The plan can be viewed at the link below.

10-year Maintenance Plan

The funds we receive from the state will not be enough to cover all facility needs in the district. We must prioritize projects that are most needed. To that end, we are seeking input as to what you would most like to see completed in our schools. Please note that the use of these funds must meet requirements and can ONLY be used on school facilities. Please fill out the following survey to best assess your thoughts and ideas regarding our school facilities and the upcoming funds.

This survey may be completed once per Gem County Community member.

You are also invited to attend one of our upcoming public meetings regarding the use of these funds. All input will then be shared with the Emmett School District Board of Trustees, who will make the final decisions on the use of the funds.
You’re invited! Please check your schedules and plan to attend one of the three public meetings available:

August 1
Sweet/Montour Elementary
6:00-7:00 pm

August 6
Shadow Butte Elementary

August 7

We look forward to your valuable input!
