"As an infectious diseases expert and a member of the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA), I commit to being a champion for antimicrobial stewardship and broader efforts to combat antimicrobial resistance. I will educate my colleagues on the threat AMR poses to our patients and the importance of infection prevention and appropriate prescribing. I will encourage research to expand our understanding of AMR and drive innovation for new tools, including vaccines, diagnostics and therapeutics. I will support public health interventions to prevent, detect and track AMR. I will participate in IDSA efforts to educate policymakers about AMR and advocate for solutions."
