Students who wish to serve on the Student Senate must be in good standing at Montgomery College and free from Code of Conduct violations. Minor infractions may be left to the discretion of the Dean of Student Affairs.

Shall maintain a cumulative grade point average (G.P.A) of 2.50 or higher each semester while serving and a minimum of six credits.
 
Senator at Large duties and responsibilities:
The function of the Senators-at-Large shall include, but not limited to: setting policy, implementing programs, and serving as a spokesperson for students on campus to the administration and elected officials.
● Shall regularly attend events of the Student Senate, including but not limited to all open/closed senate meetings and leadership workshops on Tuesdays 2:00-3:00pm; attend committee meetings, the Student Senate retreats, workshops, and trainings.
● Shall be required to have one office hour per week.
● Shall serve on at least one Student Senate committee
● Shall give an oral report to the Student Senate on any projects or committees that they chair or lead.
