Cognitive behavioural therapy: Level 1 for occupational therapy
This 4-week interactive online workshop is intended for occupational therapists who wish to understand what cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is and begin to use CBT approaches in their occupational therapy practice. Self-reflection, lecture, real case studies on audio and homework will be utilized to assist you in learning a framework for understanding the skills that support positive connections with clients, the foundations of CBT, the ‘5 Ws’ and how to utilize CBT in your occupational therapy practice. Audio and/or video presentations will be included to support learning.

You will be expected to complete a homework exercise between sessions one, two and three. Typically, these will include listening to audio of part of a CBT session and completing an exercise or worksheet.

Cognitive behavioural therapy: Level 2 for occupational therapy
This two-day practical workshop is intended for occupational therapists who wish to further their cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) skills and increase their confidence in using CBT in their occupational therapy practice. Self-reflection, lecture, small group discussion and hands-on practice opportunities will be utilized to assist you in becoming more reflective about your CBT knowledge and skills, as well as developing more advanced CBT knowledge and skills. Audio and/or video presentations will be included to support learning. You will have the opportunity to discuss challenges you have encountered in using the basic CBT skills in their occupational therapy practice.

You will be expected to complete a homework exercise the evening of Day 1 and participate in a post-workshop 45-minute group telephone supervision session.
