Anti-Sikh Hate Survey
Understanding Experiences of Hate and Discrimination Against the Sikh Community in Canada
World Sikh Organization of Canada, with the support of the Canadian Race Relations Foundation, is launching the Anti-Sikh Hate project to understand, define and combat anti-Sikh sentiment against the Canadian Sikh community.
Hate or discrimination can be defined as unfair treatment, denial of equal opportunities or harm based on identity characteristics such as race, religion, ethnic origin, nationality, language, colour of the skin, and even gender. It can also take many forms, such as verbal harassment, physical violence, or systemic bias within institutions.
This survey is designed to gather your experiences with hate, discrimination, and racism based on your Sikh identity. Your answers will help define what anti-Sikh hate looks like and inform efforts to combat it more effectively.
The World Sikh Organization of Canada is committed to protecting your privacy and the information provided in this survey will remain anonymous and will never be used to identify participants. Personal information such as postal codes will not be shared and will only be used as general location data in reports. For more details about the project and the World Sikh Organization of Canada, please visit our website: https://www.worldsikh.org/.
When reflecting on your experiences of anti-Sikh hate and discrimination, please consider your well-being. Support resources are available on The Canadian Race Relations Foundation’s website: https://crrf-fcrr.ca/.
