Two days - Over a weekend.

Five days - A full week away on one of our cruising yachts.

Evenings - One evening of sailing a week over four weeks.

6.What time of year would suit you best?

Spring - February to May (I want to get this done before the summer chaos!)

Summer - June/ July/ August (I'm constrained to the summer holidays/ want the best chance of good weather)

Autumn - September to November (I'm in no rush, this can wait until after the summer madness)

7.What would you like to gain from this program?

Basic wind awareness and knowledge of how the boat and sailing maneuvers work.

Day skipper practical skills such as MOB drills, picking up moorings, coming alongside, etc.

Day skipper navigation and passage planning - Chart work, weather forecasts, position fixing, etc.

Reinforce and revise skills that I learned in my day skipper course.

Yachtmaster level boat handling, maneuvers and navigation.

Build up miles for my next qualification.

Explore the beautiful Cork coastline and visit lots of anchorages, towns and pubs along the way.

Racing skills - sail trim, helming and spinnaker handling.

8.What kind of atmosphere would you hope to have on board?

I'd like this to be a nice relaxed cruise with plenty of time to see the sights along the way.

I'd like a balance between the two (Give a short description in the box below).

I'd like this to be an intense week of learning, like a course but more aligned with the goals given above.
