Denver Library Tour Sign Up 2017

SCALA has planned another library tour for the spring semester! The tour will take place on Saturday, April 22nd and we will be touring several libraries in the Denver area. The tour will begin at 10:00am and run until 4:00pm, though attendees are not required to stay for the entire tour. We will be visiting the library at the Denver Women's Correctional Facility (DWCF), the Stephen H. Hart Library & Research Center at History Colorado, and the Central Branch of Denver Public Library.

We'll be charging two new/like new picture books per student as an admission price for this tour! The books will support the DWCF Read to the Children Project, which you can learn more about by clicking here. During our tour, we'll get the chance to speak with women who have participated in the project and learn about its impact firsthand. If this will be a difficulty for you, please reach out to jfredri2@g.emporia.edu. Thank you for supporting this important initiative to connect children and their parents!

To visit the DWCF, you'll also need to submit a copy of your current, valid driver's license. Please email this to jfredri2@g.emporia.edu no later than Monday, April 3rd.
